The First Step
Originally named The College Moving Crew, Blue Cow Moving & Storage was started in 2018 by Andrew Baldwin while studying at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa. Andrew’s love for the business and passion for providing excellent customer service enabled TCMC to grow at a remarkable pace.

I had the college moving company come help with our move to our new home. From scheduling the move to the day of the move, responses we’re quick with any changes we needed to make to the time. They were all very polite and efficient, the process was very fast and seamless! I’m very impressed with how quick the move went and the precautions they took to ensure nothing was scratched dented or broken. We would definitely use them for any of our future moves!

Great couple of guys, Nic and Colton, came out, arrived a few minutes early and got straight to work. Super efficient maximizing the space of my (probably too small) trailer. Wrapped every piece of furniture as well. They were done quicker than I anticipated even. Wish they were in Texas to help unload. Would definitely recommend, best moving experience so far!

Andrew was great to deal with as I coordinated the movement of some old frniture from my basement & the curb for garbage pickup as well as lightly used furniture to my vehicle so I could donate it. Logan & Sam arrived on time & in helpful spirits. They carefully wrapped furniture for safe removal. I had some old rolls of carpet to dispose of & they helped cut it down to lengths acceptable for garbage pickup. I have a disability, so this was invaluable to me. I will use this company for more move needs in the future.

In the past five years I have hired The College Moving Crew for four different moves. They are extremely respectful and willing to do what their clients need to have done to make the moving experience as seamless as possible. Great care was exercised with both the home and customer belongings while still being extremely efficient. They are hard and diligent workers, and compared to the big moving companies their prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend them for your next move!

Nic and Andrew were super professional from the start on the phone when first called them to hire. They were right on time -friendly very professional- had all the tools- blankets -wrap and efficiency to do a perfect move with NO PROBLEMS. I have moved a few times in my life, but I have never experienced an efficient and fast move like I did when The Moving Crew came in and moved my belonging in exactly two hours. Have used them three times. They simply go above and beyond. Prompt and courteous and always responsive. I feel comfortable reaching out with questions before the day of the move. They wrap every piece of furniture and I can confidently say that of the dozens of pieces they have moved for me, not one has even been knicked. Andrew disassembled and reassembled my bed frame for me. Moving can be so stressful, but not with these guys. I won’t ever use another service.

The College Moving Crew was the best decision for moving into our new home!
Our crew was easy to work with, super efficient, and really knew how to take advantage of all the space in our PODS. I loved how they had rubber runners to place throughout our house to avoid tracking in snow and dirt. All of furniture was wrapped in moving blankets and/or plastic wrap to keep it from getting damaged during the move and we were even able to rent the moving blankets them for the 3-weeks our belongings were stored in PODs while we waited for our house to be finished.
The College Moving Crew was much more cost effective than all the other options around the area.
I would 100% recommend this crew to help my friends and family during their future moves.

We have never used movers in the past but this move it was only my husband and I. Andrew and Nic were great! They were on time. They first asked us what we needed gone and did a quick tour with me to make sure they knew what we expected them to move. They covered the doors as not to scratch them. They weren’t slow. Ive heard of companies moving slower as to get more hours in that you’d have to pay. This is not the case with them. Very quick and took good care of our items. We all left together to our new home to unload and that was even quicker. They ran the stairs not us and it was so nice to be able to work on other things while they did the hard work. Most definitely would use again!

These guys were like a breath of fresh air. They communicated with me prior to the move, assured me they would be on-time, and actually arrived a few minutes early. Michael and Josh were very friendly and professional. They explained what they intended to do first and asked if that was acceptable. We worked out the priorities because there was limited space in the U boxes. These guys know what they are doing. Everything was wrapped in blankets, stretch wrap, and protected from harm. They even managed to get all of our furniture loaded in two hours. We couldn't have been more pleased.

This was the first time we hired movers and it was a GREAT experience. Andrew and Michael went above and beyond my expectations to keep the floors and doors free from dirt and dings. They wrapped all of the major furniture pieces. They disassembled and reassembled parts when needed. And, they were able to get a fridge and piano down a step, snowy hill! The College Moving Crews was our saver. We called them late night after we paid other moving company to come and unpack my uhaul but didn't show up. They're very responsive with calls/ texts. Andrew, Nic, and Isaac were our movers and they were absolutely fantastic. Andrew got back to my request for a quote very quickly. Out of three popular moving companies that we requested quotes from, CMC gave us the most professional response. They were so courteous, making sure to ask where things should go and how I'd like them arranged, and very careful with our items all while being quick and efficient! Our new home has beautiful hardwood floors and they were VERY careful when placing furniture to not scratch the floor. I was also a big fan of them rolling out pad runners to protect the carpet/floor. I was impressed by how Andrew was able to maneuver their truck in tight spaces!
They padded and wrapped all furniture and didn't judge the disaster zone of where we were moving from. They even offered useful interior design advice! would definitely recommend!

I could not have asked for better movers than Nic and Andrew! They were on time, efficient, took great care of my items, and even took things to the dumpster and to another apartment for me.
