Smokey Row recently opened its Ankeny location. Smokey Row is a great option to consider if you are looking for a great cup of coffee or a place to get some work done. One of our favorites from Smokey Row is their cold brew. Here is a link to their menu to consider some other options: Menu
Café Diem – Website
Another great local option is Café Diem. They are located right across the street from DMACC. The staff is friendly and relaxed, making the perfect environment for productivity. It is an excellent option for coffee, smoothies, or a bite to eat, and they have a convenient drive-through. Café Diem also has a conference room that you can reserve on their website.
Blue Bean – Website
Blue Bean is another excellent coffee shop, but they have something that separates them. Blue Bean rents office space. If you work from home and would like a change of atmosphere, you should consider doing some of your work from Blue Bean. They have a lot of different spaces available that range from just a desk and a chair to an entire conference room. Also, many of their office packages include lots of free coffee! Our favorite coffee drink at Blue Bean is, without a doubt, the Hawkeye latte.
PorchLight – Website
Last but not least on the list is PorchLight. This coffee house roasts its beans and is located in Uptown Ankeny. The staff is amiable, polite, and helpful. PorchLight provides so many choices you’ll never run out of options. If you are new to Ankeny, stop by Porchlight sometime, you will be glad you did.
